The Dunes at Spanish Wells

Our Story

A family dream, generations in the making…

In the late 1950s, Charles “Junior” Roberts, a seashell merchant from Nassau and his wife Angela Pinder Roberts, a Spanish Wells native, started the dream with the purchase of this 200-foot wide, sea-to-sea property. They named the land Sea Oats and built a small cottage on it. Charles, with a deep love of fishing and boating, and Angela, with a special gift of hospitality, brought family and friends together throughout the years for exciting ocean adventures, deep relaxation, delicious johnny cake and whelk stew and countless special moments.

The dream continued with their daughter Donna and her husband Bob’s vision to create an open and inviting space close to the sparkling waters, to be enjoyed by their family and special guests. They were instrumental in the design and construction of The Dunes, visiting frequently from Nassau to make sure every detail was just right.

We now invite you to come and enjoy the pristine waters and dazzling skies at The Dunes and create your own memories in this special place.

We can’t wait to share our little piece of paradise with you!
